Stretch Marks, You CAN Help Prevent.
Updated: Apr 21, 2020
Although they say its all up to genetics, which is true This all natural, raw and organic body butter recipe helped me prevent some stretch marks. Hopefully it can help you too.

Both My Mother and Sister have a ton of stretch marks from pregnancy so “I knew” I was bound to get them too. Especially since i had some already on my inner thighs already and I accepted that, but still wanted to do whatever I could to prevent as many as possible. I found this recipe online for a natural body butter and thought “what do i have to lose?”
I bought all of these individually off of amazon Try to pick natural and raw butter, Organic if its available.
Ingredients:
For a Small Batch try the measurements below and adjust as needed to increase quantity.
1 cup Shea butter
1/4 cup cocoa butter
1/4 cup coconut oil
1/2 cup mango butter
1/2 cup aloe butter
It has a nice smell from the butters and oils themselves but if you’d like you can add essential oils as well you most certainly can just make sure they are pregnancy safe first.
I mIxed the butters in a double boiler on the stove on low heat string regularly until they softened. once cool i transferred the butter into a mixing bowl and let cool in the fridge.
Once it became cloudy in color but not solid and then mixed it with a electric mixer. (if you want to add essential oils now is the time).
to store the body butter I purchase mason Jars from the dollar store but you can also find them on amazon. if left at room temperature it will stay soft and sometimes go back to oily form, if left in the fridge it will harden. You can store the butter either way and use as needed.
although I tried to use it as often as possible, i did ensure to use it at least two times per day. Once at night and Once in the morning.
Conclusion
For me I think it worked, I ran out of the butter near the end of my pregnancy so during the final two weeks I just applied bio oil. I gained 40 pounds during my pregnancy and I only have a few very small stretch marks on my stomach that you can hardly notice. I do have some on my breasts which I did not use the butter on (Real smart on my part SMH).
Hopefully this helps some of you as well :)
